Cranberry and Fried Goat Cheese Salad

Fried goat cheese balls don’t exactly sound appealing, but once you try one, trust me, you’ll want to eat them like popcorn. Goat cheese is very creamy so when it’s warm and covered in crispy breadcrumbs, it’s hard to get enough. This cranberry and fried goat cheese salad is the second in my salad series and I love it because it’s easily adaptable so you can make it your own! My version consists of spinach, avocado, carrots, cranberries and goat cheese fried in egg and breadcrumbs. I also like to put salt, pepper and a splash of olive oil for dressing just so it’s not too acidic 🥗


  • 3 cups spinach
  • 1/2 cup diced carrots
  • 1/2 an avocado
  • 1/4 cup cranberries
  • 5 goat cheese balls (I like to just form them with my hands)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper


  • Oil and heat a skillet pan
  • Form 4-6 goat cheese balls with your hands
  • Dip them in the egg mixture and coat in breadcrumbs
  • Fry in pan until brown
  • In a large bowl, combine spinach, carrots, avocado and cranberries
  • Sprinkle on some light salt and pepper and add about 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • Mix salad to evenly distribute dressing and lay goat cheese balls on top 

* Makes 1 salad
